Adrian Conde, of Bradenton, FL, is accused of stealing two pairs of shoes from a local Bealls store. When approached and confronted by loss prevention agents, Conde picked up his 1 year old son and then started wrestling with and swinging at the LP agent.
Yes, you read that right. First, he picked up his toddler son. Then, he picked a fight with LP. Brave guy, huh? For his trouble, Conde got charged with felony child neglect and assault to go with his shoplifting charge.
Here’s the kicker: Conde said he stole the shoes so he could “earn” money by selling them on the street. Now, I don’t know about you, but where I come from, we don’t call stealing from retailers “earning” money. We call that theft, shoplifting, boosting, etc., but not earning. What he earned was a jail sentence. Let’s hope he gets what he earned.
