Ah, motherhood. Apparently, Tammie Michelle Hanson of Forney, Texas needs some lessons. This woman goes shoplifting at her local Walmart, and leaves her three children to wait in the car while she goes to get her five-finger discount.
But wait, there’s more! When police go out to recover the children, they also find some Methamphetamine in the car. If the police found it, the kids could have, too. So, Ms. Hanson leaves her kids in the car with illegal drugs, goes shoplifting, and gets caught. Now, she is charged with shoplifting, felony drug possession, and child endangerment. Good enough for her.
The children were placed in protective custody, and Hanson’s car was impounded. So, Hanson is getting what she deserves, but what about the kids? Here we have another situation where innocent kids are subjected to the emotional trauma of being ripped from their parents because the parent cared more about their own greed than the safety of their children.
