The truth is, loss prevention gets tips all the time from customers, employees, etc. and then they go through the work of making a case against shoplifters. When you think about what a loss prevention agent has to do in order to make an apprehension, it seems to me that they don't have to make themselves look good. They just do their jobs, which is to stop people like this from stealing from them. Also, I did not even infer in this article that the two were not educated, or that they weren't smart. I just say that they are thieves, which is accurate. A person's intelligence doesn't determine their character. What they did was illegal, and it was wrong.
