In the good old days of Loss Prevention, CCTV systems were not always the norm. In my first LP job, the store where I worked had two-way mirrors installed in the walls in high risk departments like electronics, etc.
We called it the bunker. You would go into a stock room, climb up a ladder to a platform where you could see the entire department, and you would watch. When you saw a theft, you took steps to make an apprehension.
So, this site is called Joe’s Bunker. It’s where I observe what is going on, and when the I see things that I can use to help businesses reduce their losses, I react by writing about them; and by doing my best to distribute the information to everyone to build awareness.
