It’s true. With my busy schedule, I don’t know what I’d do without my Blackberry Pearl. I get my business email, synchronized with my corporate account, which also synchronizes with my task list and calendar. If I am out in the field and need to schedule a meeting, I just add it to my blackberry and it is automatically pushed to my calendar on the company network.
I can also check corporate databases for important information on the fly. This is great for when you need that list of numbers for a particular site and don’t really want to carry a binder full of notes around.
Additionally, the Pearl can open and allow me to view faxes, spreadsheets, and documents attached to emails, although they are a little small and can be hard to read.
I also receive personal emails through my personal account on my Pearl; which is great for those times when I’m away from home.
The Pearl also has a built in camera, which allows me to take photos of issues at sites, and then forward those photos on to help illustrate any issues I come across on a particular visit.
Add to all this the phone itself, complete with bluetooth technology, and you’ve got a pretty complete package. One thing is for sure: I know why they call it the “Crackberry”. It is very easy to get very accustomed to having it with you. This little baby keeps me organized, connected, and makes my life easier by making my days more efficient.
